  • The 2025 vintage was a bit of a “nail-biter” in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It was characterized by a mildly cool, foggy summer that continued into a cool, wet harvest. Between bouts of rain, we harvested through early November to bring in an extended vintage.

Tasting notes of grapefruit pith, white flowers, and fresh strawberry with a chalky, powder-like minerality.

  • Sourced from the Mariafeld Pinot Noir clone at Will’s Cabin, our organically farmed estate vineyard at Gist Ranch, the fruit was whole-cluster direct-pressed and fermented naturally in 600L puncheons and 300L hogsheads. To preserve its vibrant character, the wine was moved to stainless steel to finish aging. Bottled in January 2026, after a short 6-month elevage period, this rosé has a vivid citrus quality and firm acidity, classic to the Santa Cruz Mountains.

  • Will’s Cabin Vineyard is less than half a mile from the Gist Ranch Estate. The vineyard sits on fine, sandy soil known as vaqueros sandstone. It is also north facing and 200 feet higher, making it much cooler than Gist Ranch. Here we have planted Swan and Mount Eden clones. Uniquely, we’ve also incorporated Mariafeld, a clone originating in Switzerland, which tends to add more tannin and a deeper color to the wine. This clone is used to create a Pinot Noir named after the vineyard as well as our Rosalee rosé of Pinot Noir.
